The village of Titchfield dates back to the 6th century, it was mentioned in the1086 Domesday book and during medieval times operated a small port and market. The picturesque buildings, Titchfield Abbey Ruins and historic St Peter’s Church all add to its charm.

A walk along the Titchfield Canal will take you down to Meon Shore on the Solent, and to Titchfield Haven Nature Reserve, a very popular spot for twitchers.

Between Titchfield and Locks Heath is Titchfield Common, historically a Strawberry growing agricultural area it is now predominantly a residential area. The Sir Joseph Paxton Pub is named after one of the strawberry varieties grown here; it may be that some are still being grown in the allotments across the road.

Titchfield Park is a little further north, bordering the Segensworth Industrial Parks. This area has grown over the last 20 years with new housing. It is the home for the Office for National Statistics, a major local employer.
